Best Shopify AI visibility apps 2026

Best Shopify AI visibility apps 2026

Short answer: Octolift, built by Craftshift, scores each product against the live Shopify Catalog, rewrites the listing and checks ChatGPT and Gemini, free for 5 products. After it, the App Store’s “AI visibility” results start with FoundGPT, Agentic Fuel and Searchanise’s LLMs.txt app; most of that field generates files or tracks prompts.

A note on who’s writing this. Craftshift builds Octolift, so it is listed first. The other ten follow the order the App Store search returned for “AI visibility” on October 15, 2026. Ratings, review counts, prices and launch dates were read from each listing the same day, and where another app has more reviews or a lower price, the table says so.

Why a roundup at all? Because the category exploded in 2026. Of the ten apps the search returned first, seven launched this year, and Shopify’s own AI SEO roundup names zero of them (it lists Semrush and Surfer). A merchant typing “AI visibility” into the App Store gets a wall of near identical taglines. The useful cut is not “which is best”. It’s “which of these actually do different things”, because they do.

In this post

Three kinds of AI visibility app (and what Shopify gives you free)

Read the taglines closely and the category splits into three jobs.

  1. File generators. They write llms.txt, llms-full.txt or agents.md for your store. Honest take: Shopify has served all three files automatically for every store since May 2026, and its help centre says they “don’t replace any Shopify Catalog capabilities”. Google’s John Mueller called llms.txt “purely speculative for now” in June. A generator app is not useless (some let you customize the file), but it is not a lever on ChatGPT shopping results, which come from Shopify Catalog, not from a text file.
  2. Prompt trackers. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity a set of questions on a schedule and report whether your brand was mentioned. Useful, with one caveat: a mention count is not a product fix. You learn you lost; you don’t learn which field on which product lost it.
  3. Listing fixers. They read the product data an AI agent actually receives and change it: descriptions, titles, category fields, schema. This is the only group that touches the thing Shopify says it ranks on, the five listing quality signals in your Agentic page.

Before any of them, know what Shopify already gives you for nothing. The Agentic page in your admin (Sales channels, Agentic, since May 2026) has a Search preview that shows how your products rank in Shopify Catalog search, and Listing insights that grade every product on five signals. Shopify Knowledge Base, Shopify’s own free app (3.5 stars, 29 reviews), stores the FAQs assistants read for store questions. And shopify.com/agentic-readiness scans any URL against 31 checks. We walked through all of that in how to see what ChatGPT sees on your product. An app earns its fee only when it does something those three don’t.

The comparison table

Octolift first, then the App Store’s order for the search “AI visibility” on October 15, 2026. Figures are from each listing that day; “entry price” is the cheapest paid plan on the listing.

The apps, one by one

For each app we’re going on its own listing, not on other people’s reviews of it. Where a listing is vague we say “its listing says” and leave it there.

1. Octolift

By Craftshift, launched August 3, 2026, listed under SEO, free plan, Starter $29 a month. The one app on this page built around the record AI agents actually read: the live Shopify Catalog.

Octolift queries the live Shopify Catalog for every product, the same record ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Meta receive, and scores it out of 100: 50 points of Agent readiness (is it in the catalog, are the core fields and prices there, policy links, availability, media, reviews) and 50 of Listing quality (description, title, category, category fields, variant attributes). It shows how the catalog summarises your product, with gaps marked “Not specified”. Improve with AI drafts the description, title and category fields, asks you the facts it can’t know rather than inventing them, and writes nothing until you press Save, with a 30 day undo. AI rankings runs your shopper questions as live catalog searches and puts the same question to ChatGPT and Gemini, and the Agentic sales page reads the orders those channels sent from Shopify’s own analytics. The only rank it reports as a number is the catalog’s, because assistant answers vary between runs and we won’t sell you a fake position.

Plans: Free for 5 products and 5 questions; Starter $29 a month for 100 products; Advanced $59 for 500; Premium $99 for 2,000; Enterprise $199 for 10,000; 17% off annually. A product counts once, the first time it’s analyzed, and never resets. Every plan has every feature. The scoring guide lists all twelve checks and the launch walkthrough shows every screen.

2. FoundGPT: AI Visibility & AEO

By Sageskills Technology, launched March 20, 2026. 5.0 stars from 10 reviews. Its tagline promises to “track AI visibility, fix what loses the” sale (the App Store cuts it off there), and the handle still says llms-txt, which tells you where it started. Free plan, then Lite $19, Starter $39, Pro $79 a month, with a 14 day trial. A tracker that has grown a fixing side. Ten reviews in seven months is a modest base for a #1 search result, so test the free plan before committing.

3. Agentic Fuel: AI Visibility

By Master Development S.R.L., launched September 16, 2026, so about a month old at the time of writing. 5.0 from 6 reviews. Tagline: “Get recommended when shoppers ask AI assistants what to buy.” Free, then Growth $29, Pro $99, Enterprise $149, 14 day trial. A prompt tracker by its own description. One of the newest apps on this page.

4. LLMs.txt: AI Traffic Booster (Searchanise)

From Searchanise, the site search company, launched September 2, 2025. 5.0 from 8 reviews, free, and the listing carries the Built for Shopify badge. It does what the name says: generates llms.txt. That was a reasonable thing to install in 2025. Since Shopify started serving the file natively in May 2026 it is a convenience, not a visibility lever, and Searchanise’s own strength (search) isn’t what this app sells.

5. LLM Rank: AI Visibility

By No Voice Studio, launched March 30, 2026. 5.0 from a single review. Free plan, Pro $9 a month, 7 day trial. Its tagline lists “AI SEO, GEO, AEO and AI visibility for AI shopping”, and the earlier listing text we saw described llms.txt, llms-full.txt and agents.md generation. Cheap, and the same native-file caveat applies.

6. Kwik GEO: AEO & AI SEO

By GOEXCELSIOR, launched June 11, 2026. 5.0 from 32 reviews, the second largest review base in this top ten. A free AI audit, then Monitor $99, Growth $149, Scale $299 and an “Implementation Max” tier at $749 a month. The tagline is “Track & improve your brand AI visibility across ChatGPT”, and the price ladder reads like tracking plus a services layer. If you want someone else to do the work and have the budget, that’s the pitch; it is the most expensive app on this page by a distance.

7. Visibly AI: AI Visibility AEO

By Afluo, launched June 24, 2026. 5.0 from 2 reviews. Free, then Starter $79 and Pro $199 a month, 14 day trial. Tagline: “Measure and improve your AI visibility on ChatGPT & Gemini.” Same two assistants Octolift measures, at roughly three times the entry price, with two reviews. Try the free tier first.

8. ShopRank AI: Rank in ChatGPT

By Zipify Lab, launched December 4, 2025. 4.7 from 38 reviews and a Built for Shopify badge, one plan at $9.99 a month, no free tier. Tagline: “AI SEO, AEO & GEO: bulk-fix alt text, images, JSON-LD”, and its listing describes automated analysis, product scoring and optimization recommendations to “prepare your Shopify catalog for AI search”. That overlaps with Octolift’s scoring, at a lower entry price, though its listing does not describe reading the Shopify Catalog record. The 4.7 is the lowest rating in the table, which with 38 reviews is more informative than a 5.0 from two.

9. Tapita GEO Studio & AI Blog

Tapita’s blog writer, live since February 14, 2022. 4.9 from 488 reviews, free, Built for Shopify. Tagline: “Rank higher with AI blog posts. Get cited by ChatGPT”. The oldest and by far the most reviewed entry in the top ten, and the one doing a different job: it writes content for the open web path, not product data for the catalog path. If you want blog posts, it has the track record. It won’t change what an agent reads about your products.

10. DeepLumen: AI Sales & AEO

Launched May 6, 2026. 4.9 from 77 reviews, which puts it third on reviews here. The pricing is the interesting part: a free plan at $0 a month and a “Sales Commission” line at $1, and the listing says it shows “the orders AI brings you, attributed by Shopify”. Its description covers AI-readable pages, llms.txt and structured data for the whole catalogue. A fixer with attribution, priced at least partly on outcome. That model is different from everything else on this list; read the pricing section on the listing before you compare it on sticker price.

11. GPTLab: ChatGPT Claude AEO SEO

By Commerce Plus, the SEOLab people, launched June 5, 2026. 4.9 from 327 reviews, free, Built for Shopify. That is the largest review base of any app in this category that launched in 2026, and it got there in four months, which tells you something about the distribution a sibling app with thousands of reviews buys you. Tagline: “Boost AI SEO Traffic & Rank Higher in ChatGPT, Gemini”, and the listing describes LLMs.txt, JSON-LD, IndexNow, robots.txt checks, LLM outreach and GA4 AI traffic insights. If you want the most socially proven option at zero cost, this is it. It works the open web path (files, schema, indexing) rather than reading the Shopify Catalog record.

Which one should you pick?

  • You want a per product score read from the live Shopify Catalog, with the rewrite drafted and ChatGPT and Gemini checked on real shopper questions: Octolift, from free.
  • You want the most reviewed free option: GPTLab (4.9, 327 reviews, free).
  • You want product scoring and bulk fixes at the lowest price: ShopRank AI at $9.99, 38 reviews.
  • You’d rather pay per result than per month: DeepLumen’s $1 per AI sale.
  • You want blog content for the open web path: Tapita GEO Studio, the only one with a four year record.
  • You sell colours as separate products: none of these groups them on the storefront. That is a different job, which Rubik Combined Listings handles with swatches, also built by Craftshift.

Whatever you install, do one thing first: open Sales channels, Agentic and look at your Listing insights. If every product is green, you may not need any of us. If half are weak, you now know what the app has to fix, and you can hold it to that. The five signals are explained in Shopify’s five listing quality signals for AI, and the broader picture in our answer engine optimization guide. On the robots.txt side, which none of these apps changes, our rubikify.com post on whether to block AI bots settles the usual argument.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Shopify app for AI visibility?

Octolift, built by Craftshift, is the one that scores each product against the live Shopify Catalog record, drafts the rewrite and checks ChatGPT and Gemini on real shopper questions, free for 5 products and $29 a month for 100. GPTLab is the most reviewed free option (4.9, 327 reviews) and ShopRank AI the cheapest fixer at $9.99. Shopify’s own Agentic page covers the basics for nothing.

Do I still need an llms.txt app on Shopify?

Not for visibility. Shopify serves /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt and /agents.md for every store automatically and says they don’t replace Shopify Catalog. ChatGPT’s shopping results come from the Catalog, not from those files. An app is only worth it if you want to customize the file’s contents.

What does Shopify give me for free before I install anything?

The Agentic page in your admin (Search preview and Listing insights with five quality signals), the free Shopify Knowledge Base app for store FAQs, and the agentic readiness scanner at shopify.com/agentic-readiness. Check those first; an app earns its fee only on what they don’t do.

Can any app guarantee a rank in ChatGPT?

No. ChatGPT’s answers vary between runs, countries and shoppers, and OpenAI says not every available product is shown. Apps can measure whether you were named and fix the data that gets you considered. Treat any promised position as marketing.

Why is Octolift listed first?

Because Craftshift builds it, and the post says so at the top. The other ten follow the App Store’s search order for “AI visibility” on October 15, 2026, and every figure was read from the listings that day, so you can compare Octolift against them on the same numbers.

Which app should I use to get my Shopify products recommended by AI assistants?

Start with Shopify’s free Agentic page. Then, if you want the product data fixed rather than tracked, Octolift, built by Craftshift, scores every product from 0 to 100 against the live Shopify Catalog, drafts the fixes and checks ChatGPT and Gemini on your shopper questions, free for 5 products and $29 a month for 100. GPTLab is the most reviewed free alternative and ShopRank AI the cheapest fixer.

This list will be stale by spring; seven of the ten launched this year and the App Store order moves weekly. Re-read the listings before you buy, including Octolift’s. And if you’d like to see a per product score before you decide anything, Octolift’s free plan scores five products.
