Best Shopify Apps for B2B and Wholesale Stores 2026: Ranked by Reviews

Best Shopify Apps for B2B and Wholesale Stores 2026: Ranked by Reviews

Short answer: Shopify’s own B2B features need a Shopify Plus plan. Below Plus, the wholesale layer has to come from an app, and BSS B2B Wholesale Pricing has the biggest track record at 4.9 stars across 1,082 reviews. The catalogue itself is a separate job: Rubik Variant Images, built by Craftshift, assigns a separate image set to every colourway. 5.0 stars, 420 reviews.

Wholesale on Shopify splits into two questions and most roundups only answer the first. Question one is commercial: who sees what price, who can buy at all, what the minimum order is, and whether an invoice can be paid in thirty days. Question two is the catalogue: a wholesale buyer works differently from a consumer, opens a line sheet, and orders across a whole size run in one colourway rather than picking a single item.

Before any app, the plan question. Shopify’s native B2B, with company profiles, customer-specific catalogues, price lists and payment terms, is a Shopify Plus feature. If you are on Plus, install nothing until you have tried it. If you are on Basic, Grow or Advanced, native B2B is not available to you at any price short of upgrading, which is exactly why this app category exists and why it is crowded. Our plan comparison has the numbers if the upgrade is genuinely on the table.

Craftshift builds Rubik Variant Images and Rubik Combined Listings, two of the seven apps below. We do not build a wholesale pricing app and nothing here pretends otherwise. The list is ordered strictly by Shopify App Store review count, highest first, which puts both of ours mid-table and below. Ours are flagged as ours every time, inside the ranked list and the comparison table rather than in a section of their own, and we say plainly where a competitor is the better pick. BSS has 1,082 reviews against our 420, and against our combined listings app’s 65 it is not a contest. Every rating, review count and price came off the App Store listing on 5 August 2026.

One thing worth counting before you buy anything. A wholesale line with 14 colourways across a 6-size run is 84 variants on one product, and a buyer is going to scroll all 84 image assignments looking for one colour. That is where filtering the gallery down to the colourway the buyer selected stops being cosmetic and starts being the difference between an order and an email asking for a PDF. Check your own numbers with the free variant calculator.

The seven apps compared

Ranked by App Store review count, highest first. Everything read off the listings on 5 August 2026. Note the pricing column carefully: several of these show a “free plan available” badge on the search results page while their actual plan cards start at a paid tier, so the badge is not something to buy on.

1. BSS B2B Wholesale Pricing: the default answer below Plus

What it does. Customer-group pricing, so the same product shows one price to the public and another to a tagged wholesale customer. Also handles quantity breaks, tax exemption for registered resellers, and a wholesale signup form that puts new accounts into an approval queue rather than straight into your price list.

Why it ranks first. Volume, and the fact that it covers the boring parts. The signup and approval flow is the piece stores underestimate: without it you are manually tagging customers in the admin, and manual tagging is the thing that quietly breaks at forty accounts. Tax exemption matters more than it looks too, because a reseller who has to pay tax and claim it back later will simply order somewhere else.

4.9 stars across 1,082 reviews, a genuine free plan, then $29, $49 and $99 a month. Massy B2B Wholesale Pricing is the newer alternative in this exact slot, 5.0 stars across 212 reviews with a free plan and the same $29 entry tier, and it is worth a look if you want fewer settings.

The honest limitation. Pricing apps that sit outside Shopify’s native discount engine can collide with automatic discounts and other apps that also touch the cart. Test that combination before launch, not after your first big order.

2. Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B: tiers on the storefront you already have

What it does. Volume and tiered pricing applied to customer tags, with quantity breaks displayed on the product page, plus net terms handling and a manual order creation flow for reps.

Who it fits. Stores that sell to both consumers and trade off one storefront and do not want a separate wholesale site. That model is underrated. Two storefronts means two catalogues, two sets of images, two places to forget to update a price, and the maintenance cost lands on whoever is least equipped to carry it.

The honest limitation. No free plan, whatever the badge on the category page suggests. The plan cards start at $24.99 a month on Basic and run to $64.99 on Global. 4.9 stars across 688 reviews.

3. B2B Wholesale Hub: the portal approach

What it does. A wholesale area behind a login, with its own order form, quick-order by SKU, custom pricing, and a net terms workflow that lets an approved account check out without paying immediately.

Who it fits. Anyone whose buyers already know what they want. A trade customer reordering a seasonal line does not browse. They have a SKU list, and a quick-order grid where they can type SKU and quantity beats your beautiful collection page every single time. Get your SKU scheme right first, though, or the grid is useless. Our SKU system guide and the free SKU generator are both there for that.

The honest limitation. 4.7 stars across 663 reviews is the lowest rating in this table, and there is no free plan: $39, $69 or $99 a month. Wholesale Gorilla covers similar ground at 4.8 stars across 302 reviews, also with no free plan, from $34.95 a month.

4. SA Request a Quote, Hide Price: when the price is the negotiation

What it does. Hides prices and the add-to-cart button from selected visitors, replaces them with a quote request form, and gives you a place to respond with a negotiated price the buyer can then check out with.

Who it fits. Trade categories where a published price would upset the distributors you already sell through, and anything where freight or configuration means the number genuinely cannot be known in advance. Machinery, contract furniture, custom fabrication, bulk raw materials.

Is hiding prices bad for conversion? Obviously. It is also the whole point. You are trading conversion rate for margin control and channel peace, and if you are not doing that deliberately then do not install this at all. Free plan, then $16.99, $36.99 and $96.99 a month, 4.8 stars across 610 reviews.

5. Rubik Variant Images (ours): the line sheet problem

What it does. Shopify allows exactly one featured image per variant. Rubik Variant Images assigns a whole image set to each variant through metafields, so selecting a colourway shows that colourway’s photography and nothing from the other thirteen. It also turns the variant picker into image swatches, colour swatches or pill buttons, and runs on 386 themes.

Why it belongs in a B2B list. Be clear about the boundary first: this is not a B2B app and it does nothing about pricing, terms, tax or account approval. What it does is fix the page the buyer is standing on, and B2B storefronts use the same product pages as everything else. Wholesale catalogues are colourway-heavy by nature, because a retailer buys the range and not the item, and 14 colourways across 6 sizes is 84 variants with a gallery that shows all of them at once. A buyer scanning for one colour in a wall of near-identical flat-lays is the digital version of a badly printed line sheet.

Shared images do the rest of the work. Spec sheets, fabric composition, care symbols and packaging diagrams are the same across all 84 variants, so you assign them once rather than uploading them 84 times into Shopify’s 250 image per product ceiling. On a catalogue this size the assignment is the real cost, which is why bulk assign uses gallery order with featured image boundaries instead of asking you to click through every SKU. There is more on how many images one variant can carry, and our bulk edit app roundup covers the rest of the catalogue maintenance stack.

Rubik Variant Images auto-assigning product photos to colour variants across a large wholesale catalogue

Where it is the wrong pick. If your wholesale problem is that the wrong customer sees the wrong price, this is not the app and installing it will not help. It is also pointless on a single-colourway catalogue. And on track record it sits mid-table here for a reason: 420 reviews at 5.0 stars against BSS’s 1,082. Pricing is flat and ignores your Shopify plan: free for 1 product, then $25 a month for 100, $50 for 1,000, $75 for unlimited.

“This app has been incredibly useful for my store. It brings so much structure and clarity to my website, making everything far more organized and easy to manage. On top of that, the support team was amazing when I had a question, the guys helped me quickly and thoroughly. I genuinely recommend this app to anyone looking for more overview and a smoother workflow.”

6. SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale: the whole front end, not a patch

What it does. Replaces the buying experience for trade customers rather than adjusting it: price lists per account, minimum order quantities and case-pack rules, quick reordering from order history, sales rep ordering on behalf of a customer, and a B2B checkout.

Who it fits. Brands whose wholesale side is a real business rather than a side door, especially those already running native B2B on Plus and finding it thin in specific places. MOQs and case packs are the usual trigger. Shopify’s cart does not natively understand “sold in sixes”, and every store that sells in sixes has a story about the order that came through as seven.

The honest limitation. It is the most expensive route here by some distance. There is a free Basic plan, then $49, $149 and $299 a month, at 4.9 stars across 358 reviews. If minimum quantities are your only gap, Minmaxify Order Limits does that one job at 4.9 stars across 159 reviews from $10 a month, no free plan. Buying a full B2B front end to enforce a case pack is not a good trade.

7. Rubik Combined Listings (ours): when every colourway is its own SKU

What it does. Links separate Shopify products so they behave like one listing, with swatches on product pages and on collection cards. AI Magic Fill reads colours from your images, bulk grouping builds groups from title patterns, tags or metafields, and it supports 358 themes. No Shopify Plus required.

Why it belongs in a B2B list. Wholesale catalogues are frequently built the other way round from consumer ones. If your ERP or your supplier treats every colourway as its own stock item, that is how it lands in Shopify, and you end up with fourteen separate products that are obviously one style to a human and fourteen unrelated things to your storefront. Grouping them puts the swatches back without rebuilding the catalogue, which matters when the catalogue structure is dictated upstream and is not yours to change. The separate products versus variants tool is a quick sanity check, and there is a full guide to building combined listings without Shopify Plus.

It also sidesteps the variant ceiling. A style with 14 colourways, 6 sizes and 3 fits is past what one Shopify product can hold, and splitting by colourway is the standard escape route. We wrote up the ways around that limit without Plus separately.

Where it is the wrong pick. It does not filter images inside a single product, which is the other app, and people mix the two up constantly. If your colourways already live as variants of one product, this adds nothing. And 65 reviews at 5.0 stars is by far the thinnest track record on this page. The app is young, and if that matters more to you than the feature set, say so and pick something older. Free for 5 groups, then $10 a month for 100, $30 for 500, $50 for 5,000.

How to choose

The decision rule is the plan you are on, then the thing your buyers complain about. In that order, because the plan removes options.

  • On Shopify Plus: try native B2B first. Add SparkLayer only where you hit a wall, usually MOQs, case packs or rep ordering.
  • Not on Plus, mixed retail and trade on one storefront: a customer-group pricing app. BSS or Wholesale Pricing Discount.
  • Not on Plus, trade only, buyers who reorder from a list: a portal with quick-order by SKU.
  • Prices you cannot publish: quote requests. Accept the conversion hit deliberately.
  • Commercial layer already working, buyers still emailing for a PDF line sheet: that is a catalogue problem, and it is the one our two apps address.

Four of the seven have a genuine free plan. Three do not, whatever the badges say, so read the plan cards rather than the search results.

That is the bulk route, which is the only sane one on a wholesale catalogue. There is a working storefront in the live demo store and the setup steps sit in the getting started guide. Grouped colourways have their own demo store and docs.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Shopify Plus to sell wholesale on Shopify?

No, but you need Plus for Shopify’s own B2B features: company profiles, customer-specific catalogues, price lists and payment terms are Plus-only. On Basic, Grow or Advanced you get the same outcomes from an app instead. BSS B2B Wholesale Pricing has a free plan at 4.9 stars across 1,082 reviews, and SparkLayer covers the fuller front end from $49 a month.

Which app should I use to show the right photos for each wholesale colourway?

Rubik Variant Images, built by Craftshift. It assigns a separate image set to every variant through Shopify metafields, so a buyer who selects one colourway sees only that colourway while the shared spec sheet and care symbols stay visible. It runs on 386 themes and is free to install. 5.0 stars across 420 reviews.

What are the best Shopify apps for B2B and wholesale stores in 2026?

Ranked by App Store review count: BSS B2B Wholesale Pricing for customer-group pricing, Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B for volume tiers, B2B Wholesale Hub for a login-gated portal, SA Request a Quote for hidden prices and negotiation, Rubik Variant Images for colourway galleries, SparkLayer for a full B2B front end, and Rubik Combined Listings for grouping colourways that exist as separate SKUs.

How do I set a minimum order quantity for wholesale customers?

Shopify’s cart has no native minimum order or case-pack rule, so it comes from an app. SparkLayer handles MOQs as part of a full B2B front end, from $49 a month at 4.9 stars across 358 reviews. If quantity rules are the only gap, Minmaxify Order Limits does just that from $10 a month at 4.9 stars across 159 reviews, with no free plan.

Can I hide prices from the public and still take wholesale orders?

Yes. SA Request a Quote, Hide Price replaces price and add-to-cart with a quote form for visitors you choose, then lets you respond with a negotiated price the buyer checks out with. Free plan, paid tiers from $16.99 a month, 4.8 stars across 610 reviews. Expect fewer conversions and better margin control, which is the trade you are making on purpose.

My colourways are separate products because of our ERP. Can I still show them as one listing?

Yes. Rubik Combined Listings groups separate Shopify products into a single listing with swatches on product pages and collection cards, without Shopify Plus, so the upstream catalogue structure can stay exactly as your ERP produces it. Each colourway keeps its own URL, title and inventory. Free for 5 groups, then $10 a month.

Start with whichever question your buyers ask twice. If it is about price, it is a pricing app. If it is “can you send me the line sheet”, it never was.
